Australia: Muslim lights brushfires so that civilians would be ‘tasted by the fire of Allah’

This has been a threat for years.

“Man who lit Melbourne bushfires and embraced ‘depraved ideology’ of Islamic State jailed for eight years,” Australian Associated Press, October 9, 2024 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):

A convicted terrorist has been jailed for eight years after he filmed himself pledging allegiance to Islamic State.

A supreme court jury in 2023 found Aran Sherani, 22, guilty of preparing for a terrorist act over the 2021 video.

The footage shows him pledging allegiance to Islamic State and bragging that he was on the run from police, while holding a knife up to the camera.

Sherani later pleaded guilty to being a member of a terrorist organisation and admitted he was captured in footage lighting two bushfires in Melbourne’s north in February 2021.

In those videos, he declared civilians would be “tasted by the fire of Allah”….

  3. I think that the piece of scum should have been prosecuted for attempted mass murder. He states, “tasted by the fire of Allah…” It certainly sounds like he tried to kill anyone in the path of the fires.

    I was in Canberra during the 2001 Bush Fires and it was scary. It was so bad that two kangaroos took refuge next to our house and they certainly appreciated the food and especially the water that my wife provided them. I am not sure who was more scared, my wife or the kangaroos. There were people who lost their lives and the death of animal life was horrendous.

      Your comment wasn’t visible when I posted mine. Looks like we were thinking alike with the attempted murder this guy wanted to happen.
      in the U.S., the law provides for charges of, at the very least, manslaughter even if the fires are an accident; if a campfire is left burning or if the fire is set when the forest service says conditions are wrong for having a camp fire. and if someone dies as a result.
      Arson can carry murder charges.

      I can only imagine how your wife…and the roos….felt.

      • Thank you very much Somehistory. I think we may have been writing at the same time and you are correct. The great thing is that I learned how good some of the Wallabies were when a friend from church after his home was safe came over to help my wife as I had not returned from Port Au Prince yet where I had been temporarily working. His home was on the outskirts of Canberra where a lot of damage had occurred. I arrived the next day and was handed a hose by my friend. When I think of the damage that bush fires, especially in much of Australia, can and has caused for this inbred not to have been charged with a greater crime goes against all that is right.

    • I do not remember which year smoke bombers died helping you but we cannot have this keep happening. We in the US appreciate you helping and then we help you.
      Some how there has to be away to stop them before the fires start.

        I apologize for your thinking that my friend died. He was there the day before I returned home and handed me the water hose. He was joking and was soon watering the house as well as trying to protect the animals and birds as were most in the area. There were some people, unfortunately, who did perish due the fire and also smoke inhalation.

    • Before this current war, the ghoul of hamas would lob burning ballons and kites over into the Israeli fields, setting them ablaze.

  7. Feed him to the sharks. Drop him in the ocean 20 miles off shore if he swims back to shore then allah was looking favorably upon him.

  8. But him in a brush pile and lite it, see how he likes it. All he will do in prison is recruit more islamic followers. Do we need that? Don’t think so.
